My coworker snapped this photo of me setting up my new phone. I bit the bullet and got the new iPhone. I couldn't help but to succomb to the cool commercials with the skateboarding bulldog. I'm a sucker for slick advertising, shiny metal, and bright lights. Who wants to be the first one called?

Well we did it.

Yup, we found a house. Our new home is located southwest of downtown Orlando, about 20 minutes away from my new office. Lisa and I had gone down to Orlando to only look at some potential homes. The plan would then be after our house in Seattle sold, go back down and look for some that were still available. Well, we messed that one up. While we were gone we got an offer on our house here and accepted it this morning - perfect timing, huh? The new place is brand new and I am predicting the first carpet stain will come from me spilling something off a plate. While it doesn't have a pool, it's about a block away from a lake and there are 4 pools in the community.

No trip to the south is complete without a little visit at the local Cracker Barrel. The time was 10:30 and I wasn't sure what to get. I was in the mood for something salty and something sweet. Hmm, what should I order?
Of course - Strawberry shortcake and a little Mac n' cheese. A perfect combination.

Weekend

Lisa took Boo down to Portland on Friday to drop him off at his cousin's house. Nanook the Mastif is his cousin - she is just a puppy. Boo is training her the way of the dog in a human society. For a gangly Mastif puppy - not as easy as one would think.

While she was down there - Lisa decided to pick up a new bedroom. Kind of a random thing to buy, huh? Actually it was very coordinated. Multiple cars, bungee webbing, and milkshakes at EAT.

Sarah Plewe is leaving for Boston for the summer while we are in Orlando this week. So we invited her over for dinner on Sunday. We weren't able to make fish tacos for the missionaries last week so we made them on Sunday. Luckily Sarah will be back before our migration to Florida.

Mini-Update

With the impending move to Orlando, Lisa decided that the yellow paint and pastel argyle pattern in the kitchen had to go. The house goes on the market on Wednesday, so Mark, Natalie, Leah, Mom, and Alicia all came over to help us get ready for the photos to be taken tomorrow. I'll post some more photos of the house that will be in the listing. If anyone knows someone looking for a charming 3 bedroom/2 bath home in a serene, forest-like setting, close to I-5, I-405, and the Alderwood Mall - send them our way. Did I mention it has a hot tub, stainless steel appliances, and new paint in the kitchen?
