2 out of 3 ain't bad!

A coworker today described to me the 3 M's - Marriage, Mortgage, and Mommy. This weekend we accomplished the second "M." So here is the order of events in getting the house:

Tuesday - found the listing online and contacted our realtor to schedule a showing
Wednesday - saw the house and decided to put an offer on it
Thursday - finalized the offer and sent it over to the listing agent
Friday - our offer was accpeted and we went to Outback Steakhouse to celebrate
Saturday - the home inspector did his thing and we found out our neighbors are Buddhists monks, literally
Monday - the reality of the fact we just got a house set in and we freaked out a bit

The backyard borders a Buddhist Temple. We haven't seen the monks yet - but rest assured, we will be taking them some banana bread later his month.

Hooray for the Jacob Farrar Family! I'm not sure if the current owners will leave much behind, but maybe you could convince them to leave the cat, the grandpa, and the Patrick Swayze painting from the bedroom.

whoa whoa whoa, is all that home funishing yours, are you moved in already?! this is great! I love it, and I love the fact that lisa (and you) will live bordering a buddhist temple of sorts. it's like living next door to the temple, but not your temple, so you can have the beauty without the guilt if you do something wrong. heh. I love it! that deck totally needs a celebration, by the way.

Hurray! That looks like a fancy place. They probably will leave the cat for you and Boo can have a new chew toy.

No, the items in the home belong to the current owner - except for the appliances - those will be ours. With that being said - we really like how it is decorated and probably will incorporate some of the things they have done. I think we are going to paint the Master Bedroom though. The mustard is a little too mustardy - maybe a light blue or something. We are definitely excited about it all and are definitely going to have a hot tub party - but no hot tubbing with the monks. And as Lisa's Mom pointed out - no nudey hot tubbing with the monks.

The house looks great!!!! We can't wait to visit you and Lisa. Where is the house? In Kirkland? Since we have your name for
Christmas do you need anything for your new house?

But, hey! CONGRATS on the 2 M's. I'm so happy for you two. Welcome to the vegas friend family.
