Hope Island

There's nothing like a 4-day weekend to inspire one to enjoy nature (cue Vivaldi's Four Seasons). So Friday morning Joseph and I took off for the South Puget Sound - specifically Hope Island. Hope Island is located southeast of Shelton, WA. We left from Arcadia Point and paddled about an hour due to the wind and the choppy water. Here are some photos from our adventure.

I think I'll have to agree with your mom...I especially like the Christmas tree skirt...Joseph from the Hood is looking pretty good himself...not too shabby.

Looks like a fun trip!

Oh sure, Lisa posts on your blog, but never on mine!

It looks like you guys had quite the adventure. Did anyone fall in?

There was one point where it got really windy and Joseph said he was close to going in the drink. Other than that it was a lot of fun. Definitely a trip to repeat in the future. Get a couple double kayaks and have a great time.

ooh, double kayaks like one person can sit in the back and not do any paddling, and the other person can sit in the front and do all the paddling? cool!
it's pretty there. I'd have hope there.

I would have liked to have been a fly on the kayak wall when the dip in the drink almost happened. Poor Joseph. Hopefully the gods at Machu Pichu will not try to sacrifice him.
